IIPE celebrates 10th foundation day

Visakhapatnam: Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam is gearing up to move to its permanent campus from ad hoc space allotted at Andhra University College of Engineering as it celebrated its 10th foundation day, marking a decade of progress, research excellence, and expanding national impact in the energy sector.
The foundation day assumes importance as IIPE is all set to shift to its permanent campus, symbolising a major leap in its academic and research capabilities. Addressing the gathering, IIPE Director Prof. Shalivahan reflected on the institute’s transformation from its establishment in 2016 to its present role as a national think tank. Prof. Shantanu Bhattacharya, Director, CSIR–Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO), Chandigarh, delivered the foundation day lecture. The foundation stone for the institute, was laid on October 20, 2016 by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the presence of Dharmendra Pradhan, the then Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and M. Venkaiah Naidu, the then Union Minister for Urban Housing and I&B. Prime Minister Narendra Modi ceremonially conducted the bhoomi poojan on March 2 last year.
